Before every men's fragrance smelled "aquatic", there was Cool Water. Pierre Bourdon's 1988 original is still the benchmark: a cold snap of mint, lavender and sea-spray freshness over a quietly masculine base of musk, oakmoss and a hint of tobacco.
It's an easy recommendation — inoffensive in the best way, brilliant in warm weather, and at this price you can spray it like it's free. Longevity is moderate (7/10 on our scale, think 4–6 hours), so the 125ml is the sensible buy if it's going in your daily rotation.
